Life
Grace was born as a daughter of Valinn and Rick Denig who was a jeweler. Her family lived in an ancient house. Worthington Christian School was the school which she attended from kindergarten. Later on she went to Thomas Worthington High School and started acting in school plays and community theatre.
When Grace was of 16, her parents divorced and she had to leave her school. She with her mother moved to Los Angeles, California, whereas her siblings continued living with their father. In LA they had to struggle a lot for everything. But she never gave up, and within a week after relocating to Los Angeles, she acquired an agent and started attending acting classes.
Career
In 2001, she worked in a web based video series “Rachel’s Room” which was about the affairs in a teen girl’s bedroom. In 2002, she portrayed Martha Moxley on a television movie “Murder in Greenwich” which was based on a true story.
Then she was seen in the films “Twelve Mile Road” and “Creature Unknown” and in the television series “CSI: Miami”, “The Lyon’s Den”, “Miracles”, “Like Family”, and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, where Grace worked in minor roles.
Grace then managed to get recurring role for an entire season as a Swedish exchange student in “Oliver Beene”.
Grace has also worked in many other movies which include “The Fog”, “Suburban Girl”, “Taken” and “Malice in Wonderland” etc.
Lost
Grace starred in ABC’s superhit television series “Lost” as Shannon Rutherford. She was introduced in the show as the stepsister of the plane crash survivor Boone Carlyle. Grace was a regular cast member of the series until her death in the episode named “Abandoned” in season 2. In the show, she gets into a relationship with Sayid Jarrah.
Personal Life
Grace says that the person who has inspired her, the most, in her life is her mother.
She also said that they are more like sisters. Grace also plays with her friends in a Los Angeles kickball league.
